Recommended by someone I follow on Twitter, with their guarantee that I would LOVE it. I did not love it. It was fine, it was okay, but I really didn’t like the modern day characters. I found myself hoping for a ghost and at least one murder. Meh.

I can’t say I loved it, but I did enjoy it. I thought the ending was sort of a letdown, but then I don’t know where else the writer could have gone—barring ghosts and murders. It seems to be a fairly clear but dire look at married women’s choices. Free to make choices, sure, but who’s still doing (possibly inadequate) childcare, laundry, keeping up with the calendar, and all the myriad, tedious jobs that still fall to wives.
